Stephen Keshi Signs New 2-Year Contract as Nigeria Head Coach


Having been appointed  appointed Nigeria coach for the third time, Stephen Keshi signed a two-year contract on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.

On his first mission Keshi won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations but his contract was not renews  after the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil. Keshi later returned on basically game deal, but that ended which ended after the Super Eagles could not qualify for the 2015 African Nations Cup.

Coach Keshi told BBC Sports that “It’s a fresh start.” and that the his team needs “the support of our fans, media and every Nigerian to return the team to where we truly belong.”

Keshi also regretted that Super Eagles failed to qualify for the last Nations Cup, as he felt hurt a coach and former player.
