Nigeria Eliminated from Two World Cup Competitions Under President Buhari’s Watch

The Nigeria’s Flying Eagles has been eliminated from the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015. The team’s coach is Manu Garba. Nigerians are disappointed by the dismal performance of the team. After crashing out in the round of 16 on Thursday June 11, 2015, the Coach Manu Garba said the Flying Eagles have learnt a lot from the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand. The Nigerian side lost 0-1 to Germany in their Round of 16 clash in Christchurch to exit the competition.


U.S.A pushed past Nigeria on Tuesday June 16, 2015 in Vancouver, Canada by a 1-0 win. The victory allowed the U.S. to win Group D and advance into the elimination rounds of the tournament.

Nigeria’s players also got into foul trouble, finding themselves the recipients of multiple yellow cards. Defender Sarah Nnodim got two of them, resulting in a red card and her ejection from the game. The loss to the U.S. eliminated Nigeria.
